Stone applications come in several mediums. And,
without getting overly technical in describing stone to
you, this summation is rather liberal but easy to
follow. Stone is classified under 'Igneous',
Metamorphic or Sedimentary Rocks. All of that you
don't need to know, but what it boils down to is
this...some of the stones that you've heard of would
include granite [igneous] the hardest of all rocks, and
then there is marble and slate [metamorphic] and other
popular stones that you are probably aware of are
limestone, travertine, sandstone and they are in
sedimentary family.
Then you'll find the gemstones that include onyx and
lapis, amethyst, etc. In today's market you'll
find these magnificent stones used in very fashionable
and unusual applications. They are quite elegant
and in a world of their own. These stones are the
'creme de la creme of stone'.

you will find that you can afford stone in your kitchen or bath or some of
the other noted applications mentioned above.
